Baxter Co. Sheriff Asks Public for Information on Two Cold Cases

BAXTER COUNTY, Ark. – The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office is looking to the public to help solve two cold cases involving residential burglaries at the same house.
BAXTER COUNTY, Ark. – The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office is looking to the public to help solve two cold cases involving residential burglaries at the same house.

According to the sheriff’s office, the first case was reported on April 4, 2014 at a house on Phipps Manor Dr. in the Jordan area.

The homeowners were away for an extended period of time and when they returned, they found their home burglarized with a multitude of items of personal property stolen. 

The items included the following:
  • Ruger 9mm pistol, black, valued at $600.
  • Marlin .22 cal rifle, valued at $200.
  • Judge .45 cal pistol valued at $600.
  • Sony DVD/Blu Ray player valued at $150.
  • Bow and arrow, pink/camo valued at $500.
  • Multiple DVDs
  • Several boxes of ammunition (.22 cal, .45 cal, .40 cal) valued at $400.
  • Two Crossman pump BB guns valued at $200.
  • Telescope valued at $200.
  • Night vision goggles valued at $250.
  • Miscellaneous tools and household/kitchen items.
 
The second burglary at this same residence with the same victims was reported on May 31, when deputies responded to an alarm at the home. 

Deputies found the burglars entered the home through a broken window, but they say it is unknown if any additional property items were taken.
 
According to the sheriff’s office, some evidence was collected and processed at the scene, but no suspects have been developed as of this time.
