The Billings Police Department participated in the statewide youth seat belt mobilization conducted March 15th through the 31st.

According to the Billings Sheriff’s Department the enforcement effort officers issued a total number of 81 traffic tickets.

Four fugitives were also apprehended during the crackdown.

“Seat belts are your single best defense in a crash,” said Lieutenant Karl Cuschieri. “Law enforcement will continue to encourage drivers and passengers to make a simple, smart choice to buckle up and arrive alive.”

Eight out of 10 Missouri teens killed in traffic crashes are unbuckled.
