Arkansas Will Not Join Koster's Egg Lawsuit

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Arkansas will not join Missouri’s lawsuit against California’s egg law.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Arkansas will not join Missouri’s lawsuit against California’s egg law.

Missouri's Attorney General Chris kosher says it's unconstitutional for California to regulate farming in other states.

In 2008, California passed a bill to regulate the size of enclosures that house egg-laying hens.

Now, the bill requires producers in other states to comply with that law in order to sell eggs in California.

Arkansas' Attorney General Dustin McDaniel supports Missouri’s effort, but he decided not to join because only a small percentage of Arkansas' eggs are exported to California, according to a news release.
