Another Increase in MSU Enrollment

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Classes are back in session at Missouri State University today (Monday, Aug. 18) and first-day enrollment is up again.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Classes are back in session at Missouri State University today (Monday, Aug. 18) and first-day enrollment is up again.

According to the University, another enrollment record is likely after the official census is taken in September. 

MSU released a statement Monday with first day numbers.  The Springfield campus has 19,816 students, a 2.1 percent increase.

The West Plains campus has 1,928, enrolled, up from the 1,920 students enrolled for classes on opening day last fall.

The University says it has seen increased fall enrollment for 16 of 18 years from 1995 to 2013.

Late registration will continue on the Springfield campus through Aug. 22.
