25 Years of the Price Cutter Charity Championship

SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Price Cutter Charity Championship held it's media day on Monday.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo--While the Champions Tour concluded just Sunday in Ridgedale. It's time to start thinking about how the legends got there. As the Web.com Tour's Price Cutter Charity Championship is just around the corner.

This year the tournaments first round will start on Thursday, August 7th.

Meanwhile, Monday at Highland Springs a media day was held to talk about the golf event.

This will be the second year the purse will be six thousand and seventy five dollars. Which, last years winner Andrew Svoboda knows all about.

Also, this year marks the tournaments 25th Anniversary.

"It is quite exciting. There are only four of these tournaments around the world today that have existed all 25 years, and this is one of those that will be celebrating it's silver anniversary this year. It's very representative of the sponsors, our volunteers, the golf club itself and so many others that have made it possible to last this long. It just represents the golf enthusiasm in this part of the United States. What's exciting for us is to see really the people out there that are going to be playing the game for the next 25 years," said Executive Director, Jerald Andrews.
