CNN -- Sarah Stenberg has a nice set of wheels, but the real speed comes from her feet.
The 100-year-old woman in Wisconsin has a secret to staying young.

Stenberg walks the halls of her retirement community every day - racking up four miles a day.

"This is what I do every day."

She walks three to four hours, racking up 4 miles on the back roads.

Even at 100, she still has a need for speed.

"I enjoy very much doing it and I know it's for my own benefit."

Every day, giving her body a tune up.

"When we get up and we move it's really like taking your car out for a drive. Everything really gets lubricated, your engine warms up, all that blood and circulation - everything moves around, everything gets oxygenated," said Linda Larson, the coordinator for Minutes in Motion.

Minutes in Motion is a Gundersen Health System six-week challenge to get the community out and moving each day.

"And we really are at our best when we're moving. And it doesn't have to be hard and it doesn't have to be fast," Larson said.

"That's quite a good pace."

This year Stenberg is participating.

She doesn't see many people during the afternoon.

"Everybody sleeps about this time of day. They're great nappers," Stenberg said.

But as she puts in the miles, this 100-year-old knows she's staying healthy.
