Coroner: Dallas County Man Likely Died from Heart Attack During House Fire

DALLAS COUNTY, Mo. -- Mike Barclay, chief of the Louisburg Fire Department, says his crews were called around 4:15 a.m. to the home on Wood Hill Road off Highways 73 and 64.
DALLAS COUNTY, Mo. --  A house fire claims a life in Dallas County overnight.

Mike Barclay, chief of the Louisburg Fire Department, says his crews were called around 4:15 a.m. to the home on Wood Hill Road off Highways 73 and 64.

Two metal structures were being used to house two men in one side, a woman and two children in the other.

The home was in flames when firefighters arrived. Everyone got out except for one man who collapsed outside the burning house. He died and the coroner believes it may have been a heart attack from the stress.

Another man is being treated at a local hospital.

Barclay says it's possible lightning may have started the fire by striking a nearby utility pole, but the state fire marshal is investigating.
