SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Springfield's city council will meet Monday night. On the agenda are four bills addressing issues in downtown Springfield.

The bills include a panhandling bill and a bill prohibiting smoking on Park Central Square.

All four of the bills could be voted on Monday night; however Mayor Bob Stephens announced last week he will request that the bills be postponed until council's next meeting.

That's because Mayor Pro Tem Jeff Seifried will be unable to attend Monday night’s meeting.

We'll have more on that meeting Monday, Jan. 13 at 10 p.m.
