Good morning! I'm Chris Smith and I'm the morning/midday meteorologist for the KOLR10 & Ozarks Local Weather Lab.
I received my degree in Meteorology and Minor in Mathematics from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire. While there I played soccer and football for the Panthers. Well...football if you want to count the kicker.
I've spent the last three years at our sister station in Hagerstown, MD (WHAG) as the morning/noon meteorologist. So I know what it's like to get up hours before sunrise and help people get their day started. During my time there I have covered everything from severe weather to the "Snowmaggedon" storms.
I was also a guest speaker at the National American Meteorologist Society Conference in 2010 about being a "Young Professional In Broadcast Meteorology". I love to volunteer and can't wait to get involved in the Ozark community. One of my favorite charities is the Humane Society. I have also coached several youth teams and high school soccer.
My wife Lauren and I and our cats Storm & Frost are very happy to call the Ozarks our new home!
