Chiefs Sign #1 Pick Fisher

The Kansas City Chiefs signed #1 draft pick Eric Fisher.
ST. JOSEPH, Mo--The Kansas City Chiefs conducted their first full squad practice Friday afternoon at training camp in St. Joseph.

And the number one pick in this year's draft was in uniform and on the field.

The Chiefs and Eric Fisher agreed to a contract and Fisher is signed, sealed and delivered.

Kansas City drafted Fisher number one in April, and he's only the third offensive tackle to ever be picked number one.

ESPN is reporting that Fisher will get a five year contract worth $22.2 million dollars.

$14.5 million of that is bonus money.

Fisher played his college ball at Central Michigan.

He played left tackle in college but at least for this season he'll be at right tackle.

Eric Fisher/Signs 5-year deal with Chiefs:"I just wanted to get the deal done.  Obviously there's a little negotiating that needs to be done, but I wanted to get here as soon as possible and get to work.  I didn't really want to miss anything but at the same time you have to take care of yourself.  And make sure everything's set..."
