WAYNESVILLE, Mo. -- Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri (CCSOMO) has deployed two members of its staff to Waynesville to aid in the flood disaster relief efforts.

The two experienced disaster response case managers are working this week at the Multi-Agency Relief Center, assisting survivors with information, referrals and guidance in obtaining necessary services.

The non-profit agency serves 39 counties in southern Missouri, and has been continuously involved in disaster response and recovery efforts in southwest and southeast Missouri since May 2011.

The MARC opened Tuesday at Westside Baptist Church (801 Historic Route 66 West), and will be open each day through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Some of the agencies offering help are Convoy of Hope, the Salvation Army, the Red Cross and state and local human service agencies.

Meanwhile, a fund has been established by the Meramec Regional Community Foundation for flood relief in Pulaski County.

All donations made to the fund will be dedicated to flood relief efforts in the area. Proceeds will address individual and community needs created by the flood through established, local non-profit groups, religious organizations, schools and county and local governments of Pulaski County.

The Community foundation of the Ozarks is making a grant of $25,000 to the fun as one of its 44-affiliate foundations. All donations made to the fund are tax deductible and can be made online or by check.

Anyone looking to donate online can do so by visiting CFO's website and are asked to enter "Pulaski County Flood Relief Fund" in the field for the fund or program you are donating to.

For those wishing to donate by check, checks should be payable to Pulaski County Flood Relief Fund, and mailed or dropped off to Meramec Regional Community Foundation, 4 Industrial Dr., St. James, Mo. 65559.
