Carnival Cruise Lines is hoping to win back customers with what it's calling a "great vacation guarantee."

Under the new policy, if a passenger is dissatisfied with their cruise, Carnival is offering a 110-percent refund, free transportation home and a $100 onboard credit.
Customers must notify Carnival of their dissatisfaction within 24 hours of boarding a ship.

The new policy comes after several recent problems on Carnival ships, including: mechanical problems on the Carnival Dream and an engine room fire on the Carnival Triumph that stranded thousands of passengers at sea in February.
