ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Cardinals fans at Busch Stadium shared all the action from their smartphones in record-setting numbers Friday night.
According to AT&T, the company was monitoring traffic on the in-stadium wireless network and the numbers were surprising.
In a statement, AT&T says the data usage for smartphones using the in-stadium network during the Oct. 11 game was 183 GB of data. That’s a 28 percent increase since Wednesday’s NLDS Game 5 on Oct. 9.
This data usage set a record for the 2013 season.
Fans also made more than 15,000 voice calls and sent more that 80,000 text messages during the game.
