BRANSON, Mo. – A home on Skyview Drive in Branson suffered smoke and water damage when its garage and a vehicle parked nearby burned this morning.

Firefighters from the Western Taney Co. Fire Protection District, along with the Branson Fire Department and the Southern Stone Co. Fire Protection District, responded to call in the 1300 block of Skyview about 8:30 a.m. and found the 2005 Chrysler Pacifica fully involved in flames, according to Assistant Fire Chief James K. Single.

Heavy smoke and flames were also coming from the attached garage, according to Single.

It took firefighters about 20 minutes to bring the fire under control and they were able to stop the fire as it was entering the house.

The fire started in the vehicle and spread to the garage, Single said.

The teenage daughter of the owners was at home at the time and escaped the house without any injuries.
