It's the season - for a Christmas romance-comedy!  And Chris the Critic with the Missouri Film Alliance is in with a preview.

THE WOLF OF WALLSTREET, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, WAS supposed to be released THIS weekend … but, it's been moved to Christmas Day.  SO, it's a bit light at the box this weekend.
Out is, BEST MAN HOLIDAY - When college friends reunite after 15 years over the Christmas holidays, they will discover just how easy it is for long-forgotten rivalries and romances to be ignited.  Monica Calhoun & Morris Chestnut star.
THE BOOK THEIF - While subjected to the horrors of World War II Germany, young Liesel finds solace by stealing books and sharing them with others. Under the stairs in her home, a Jewish refugee is being sheltered by her adoptive parents.

THOR:  THE DARK WORLD is the winner!  But, I DO want you to pay close attention to a small, but, mighty movie sitting at #7 called 12 YEARS A SLAVE.  This AMAZING film is about the true story of a free black man abducted and sold into slavery.  One of the producers and co-stars you may know, Mr. Brad Pitt.

For the kiddos, TURBO is new!  And, for everyone, MAN OF STEEL, Henry Cavill puts on the cape and wears it well J, as he did fall off the ugly tree.  This is a good thing, because this version of SUPERMAN is good, but, a tad too special effect-y and long.

As movie award season heats up, keep the independent Moxie Cinema on your brain.  It's the best for indies and documentaries. moxiecinema.com for more info!
