Making plans to see a movie this weekend?  Check this out first!  Our friend Chris the Critic from the Missouri Film Alliance is back in for our Thursday look at new releases in theaters this weekend.

YOU'RE NEXT - When the Davison family comes under attack during their wedding anniversary getaway, a gang of mysterious killers soon learns that one of victims harbors a secret talent for fighting back.

THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS:  CITY OF BONES - When her mother disappears, a girl learns that she descends from a line of warriors who protect our world from demons.

THE WORLD'S END - Five friends who reunite in an attempt to top their epic pub crawl from 20 years earlier unwittingly become humankind's only hope for survival.

#1 is THE BUTLER - Fantastically amazing film!
Debuting at #4 is KICK-ASS 2 - I really liked this action flick … 1st one is still the best.
And, at  #7 is JOBS - Ashton Kutcher is very commendable at founder of Apple, Steve Jobs.

EPIC - A teenager finds herself transported to a deep forest setting where a battle between good and evil take place.
SCARY MOVIE 5 - Normally this spoof series playing off horror movies and pop culture are funny in a wrong sort of way … but, this installment is THE WORST movie I've seen in 2013.  End of story!
AMOUR - This foreign film was nominated for an Oscar and is the story of an aging couple whose lives are extremely tested.  This is one of the most gut wrenching films I've seen and I don't normally love a subtitled film.

It's time for Friday Flicks in Mother's Backyard at Mother's Brewing Company with The Moxie Cinema bringing WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER tomorrow night …moxiecinema.com for all the detals .
