Bowe Back As Chiefs Put On Pads

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- Receiver Dwayne Bowe was back with the Kansas City Chiefs after a brief battle with a virus that kept him out of camp for the first two days of workouts.

Bowe says he had congestion in his chest.

Sunday was the first day the Chiefs could practice with pads on per NFL rules.

"[I felt] much better. A couple of days ago I couldn't even talk," said Bowe. "It's a good thing I'm out here. I ran my conditioning test yesterday. My chest is loosening up and I'm happy to be back."

"I thought he did good," said new coach Andy Reid. "He did his conditioning part yesterday, finished that up. Felt pretty good about that. We started him off a little bit slow and rotated him in. We got him plenty of reps for a first day back."
