ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Boeing plans to add jobs in Missouri, an increase aside from the new aircraft production that the state is trying to land.
ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Boeing plans to add jobs in Missouri, an increase aside from the new aircraft production that the state is trying to land.

Thursday the aerospace giant announced it will bring up to 400 research and technology positions to St. Louis.

At this time Boeing already employs about 15,000 workers in Missouri. Governor Jay Nixon believes the company would add thousands more if it agrees to build its new commercial airplane in Missouri.

The state submitted a proposal for the job earlier this week.
