Arrest Made in SW MO Stabbing Death

 Boyd Marcum, 31, of Neosho, is facing charges of second degree murder. Marcum was taken into custody Monday night after Anderson, Missouri police officers responded to a call at 501 Fourth St.

When they got there, authorities found Kevin Anderson, 29, bleeding from a stab wound to the chest. Paramedics were called to the scene but were unable to save Anderson.

Officers found Marcum walking down the street, about a block away from the murder scene.

 According to a probable cause statement, Marcum state that he stabbed Anderson with a pocket knife. The knife was found on Marcum when he was taken into custody.   He remains in the McDonald County Jail with a $5,000 cash bond.
