BAXTER COUNTY, Ark. - An Arkansas man was arrested Nov. 26 after a citizen cooperating with Sheriff’s Investigators made a controlled buy from him in July 2013.

According to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery, Ryan Wade Amyx, 26, sold about two grams of methamphetamine, four amphetamine/detroamephetamine 20 mg pills, and two vyvanse 70 mg capsules to a citizen cooperating with investigators.

The citizen was given $240 to purchase illicit drugs from Amyx and the transaction was remotely monitored and recorded by investigators.

Amyx reportedly used a cellular phone to facilitate the sale, which took place within 1000 feet of the Amon’s Lake Soccer Field Park.

A warrant was later obtained for Amyx’s arrest.

Amyx is being held in lieu of a $20,000 bond on charges of delivery of methamphetamine, two counts of delivery of schedule II controlled substance, unlawful use of communications device and proximity to certain facilities.

An appearance in circuit court is set for December 9.
