Salvation Army Begins Accepting Holiday Help Applications

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Salvation Army starts taking applications for Christmas assistance starting today, Monday, December 2. Residents of Greene and Christian counties are eligible for the help.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Salvation Army starts taking applications for Christmas assistance starting today, Monday, December 2.
Residents of Greene and Christian counties are eligible for the help.

The Salvation Army can help provide things like toys and winter clothes for kids, and food to make a Christmas meal.

To apply you need to bring a photo ID, Social Security cards for every member of your household, proof of income, and proof of residency.

Applications are being taken through December 13 at the Salvation Army at Chestnut Expressway and Kansas Expressway,  Monday through Friday from 10 to 3 and Monday nights from 5 to 7.
