SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Amber Alert for 13-month-old Harmony J. Blue has been canceled and the little girl is safe.

Springfield police posted on Facebook: "Baby Harmony J. Blue has been found safe and is back with her family. The investigation will continue into determining who is responsible for the incident."

Lt. Brian Phillips says the father of the children tells police he left the children, a 4-year-old boy and Harmony, in the car while he went inside a store in the 1100 block of E. Commercial Street. He also left the keys in the car, Phillips said.

The father saw a a white female with blond hair jump into the car and drive away. He chased it on foot until it disappeared going west on Commercial Street.
