BRANSON, Mo. --  The Adoration Scene will be lit tonight, December 9 at 5:30 p.m., after requests for the scene on Mt. Branson to be lit for the Christmas season for residents and tourists alike to enjoy.

This special lighting is to fulfill the intent of the founders that wanted the scene to be “a Christmas card to the community.”

The scene is typically lit as part of the Adoration Parade, which was delayed until next Sunday due to severe weather over the weekend.  The parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 15th, in Downtown Branson.

A brief ceremony will take place with members from the Chamber, the Adoration committee, City officials and others.

According to a news release, there will not be room for a large gathering on Mount Branson, but if interested parties are in the area of Branson Landing, they will be able to witness the special lighting of the scene from the other side of Lake Taneycomo.
