SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- There is an election next Tuesday, November 5 and if you won't be able to vote at the polls that day, you can vote by absentee ballot.
In Greene County, the county clerk's office will be open Saturday to accommodate voters.

Greene County Clerk Richard Struckhoff says his office will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for absentee voting.  There is just one issue on Greene County's ballot - a countywide use tax on out-of-state purchases.   (See related stories on this tax at left.)    See the ballot language, attached above this story

You can cast an absentee ballot up until 5pm the day before election day, which would be Monday, November 4.  State law says you can vote absentee if you have a legal reason, like being out of the county on election day, or having a disability.
