Deputies Arrest 3 for Series of Burglaries at Same Home

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Greene County deputies arrest three people in connection with four separate break-ins at the same home over the past month.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Greene County deputies arrest three people in connection with four separate break-ins at the same home over the past month.

According to a news release issued by Sheriff Jim Arnott Tuesday, the homeowners caught the burglars in the act of the latest break-in on Sunday.

Deputies were called to the house in the 4400 block of E. Farm Road 166 just east of the Springfield City limits after the homeowners came home and found two unfamiliar cars in their driveway.
They chased one of the vehicles - a van - and got it stopped until deputies got there, Arnott said.

The homeowners identified several boxes of belongings in the back of the van.  Sunday's break-in was just the latest of four over the last month.  The same house was burglarized November 5, November 28 and November 29.

Arnott says charges against the three have been referred to prosecutors.  He also says the case serves as a strong reminder to keep you doors and windows locked and valuables locked, especially during the busy holidays when you may be away from your home for extended periods of time.
