Drivers Seriously Hurt in Head On Crash Near Halltown, MO

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Mo. -- Missouri Highway Patrol troopers were called to dozens of traffic accidents Sunday, after a thin layer of freezing drizzle made travel conditions treacherous. One of those crashes, in Lawrence County, Missouri, seriously hurt two drivers involved in a head on crash.
LAWRENCE COUNTY, Mo. -- Missouri Highway Patrol troopers were called to dozens of  traffic accidents Sunday, after a thin layer of freezing drizzle made travel conditions treacherous.

One of those crashes, in Lawrence County, Missouri, seriously hurt two drivers involved in a head on crash.

Troopers say it happened about 7:30pm Sunday on Highway 96 about 6 miles west of Halltown.

Two passenger cars hit head on, when one of them crossed the center line.

Injured were Kayla Kirbey, 22, of Parsons, Kansas, and Kalsey Burkett, 21, of Republic, Missouri.

Both were taken to a Springfield hospital with serious injuries, troopers said.
