Willard, Polowy Post Career-High's In Big Win Over Northwestern

SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The year is winding down and so is the non-conference schedule for the Lady Bears. Missouri State hosting Big 10 team Northwestern Saturday at JQH Arena. 

The Lady Bears also sporting a two game winning streak.

And the sophomore Alexa Willard was in attack mode at tip off, knocks down the three. Lady Bears out to an 11-0 start. Willard had 14 in the first.

Then in the second. Brice Calip weaving through traffic, muscles up a shot and count it. Lady Bears up 26-17. 

Senior Liza Fruendt added 15 of her own in this one. Not a lot of space off the screen but it doesn't matter. It's now 35-26.

In the third, it's back to Willard gets the bounce. She posted a career high 21. Lady Bears up 19.

And how about Lee Ann Polowy, had her graduation Friday. Posted a career high 12 points Saturday.Hits the three ball.
Missouri State wins their third straight in a big way 90-59. 

"Boy, I couldn't be more proud of our team. I thought our start tonight was terrific. We got 6 straight stops to start the game and I thought that really set the tone as to how we were going to play. Obviously we were very aggressive and put up a lot of points. I thought consistently we just made plays on both ends of the court. We didn't give up a lot of easy opportunities to our opponent," said coach Kellie Harper.
