SPRINGFIELD, Mo--Major League Baseball's All-Star game is next Tuesday in Minneapolis.

And part of the All-Star festivities is the Future's game which is Sunday at Target Field.

And the Cards will be represented by outfielder James Ramsey.

The Future's game is a showcase for the best and the brightest minor league players to show their stuff in a USA versus the World format.

The right fielder is hitting .296 with 12 homers and 31 runs batted in.

Ramsey just came off the disabled list after suffering an oblique muscle strain and didn't want to miss the Future's game.

"I'm just kind of soaking it all in," said james Ramsey.  "I remember going to the game when I was a kid in Atlanta.  I didn't know what it was all about but I got to see future big leaguers.  Pretty much everyone there is in the big leagues now.  It was a pretty cool thing to see.  A lot of guys continueing on.  A lot of guys I played with or against will be there.  It'll be a cool way to symbolize the great start to the season.  Being able to represent the USA is a pretty cool deal.  Especially being at a great venue like Target Field.  I'm really excited about it.."
