SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Springfield Cardinals wrapped up their series with first place Frisco Thursday night.

And the Cards are looking for a win that would take the series two games to one.

Wednesday night Springfield won on an 11th inning homer from Curt Smith.

And another outstanding night for baseball at Hammons Field.

Springfield flashing the leather again early, check out the pitcher Kyle Hald snagging the comebacker from Guilder Rodriguez to open the game.

Bottom half, Patrick Wisdom grounds this to second, Odubel Herrera bobbles it, Wisdom's safe, and Breyvic Valera scores it's 1-nothing Cardinals.

Springfield gets more in that frame, the RoughRiders load the bases and Andrew Faulkner walks Rafael Ortega, Jonathan Rodriguez scores it's 2-nothing.

Then Alex Mejia lifts this pop fly to center, deep enough to score Curt Smith and it's 3-nothing Springfield.

The Cards add to it in the second, Travis Tartamella muscles up and cranks this shot to left, over the boards and gone, a solo shot, his first homer of the season, 4-nothing.

And Springfield wins 6-2.
