Springfield Cardinals Win Fourth Straight

SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Springfield Cardinals taking on Arkansas in the nightcap of Friday's Hammons Field double header.
Thursday, the Cards won their third straight game in the bottom of the ninth. 

Tonight, Springfield's Sam Gaviglio looking for his first victory of the season. And he opens the game by striking out Kyle Hudson with the check swing.
Arkansas would get to him later in the first, Zach Borenstein drives this to center, the ball bounces off the warning track and over the wall for a ground rule double, Alex Yarbrough scores it's 1-0.
Springfield ties it bottom of the second, Patrick Wisdom rips this deep to left, Andy Workman makes the catch, Rafael Ortega tags and scores, 1-1.
Later in that second, Mike O'Neill singles up the middle Ortega and Cody Stanley score it's 3-1 Springfield.
The Cards get another in the third, when Drew Hide drops this pop fly by Ortega, Curt Smith scores on the error it's 4-1
And Springfield wins its fourth straight 9-5.
