FAYETTEVILLE, Ark--The Arkansas Razorbacks will practice Wednesday night down in Fayetteville as they continue their preseason drills.

Bret Bielema's Hogs will not enjoy a cupcake start to the football season.

Arkansas kicks off the 2014 football season in confernce play against the defending SEC champion Auburn Tigers.

That game is Saturday afternoon, August 30th in Fayetteville.

Arkansas did not win an SEC game last year, and to upset the Tigers will need a strong defense.

The Hogs are counting on juco transfer linebacker Josh Williams.

He comes to Fayetteville after one year at Dodge City junior college.

"Today I think was his best practice that he's had in summer camp," said linebacker coach Randy Shannon.  "He started off a little rugged but he's coming along and coming along.  The running game he's been fitting pretty good.  The passing game today really, really showed improvement.  That's the one thing that he improved on today."

"I was trying to do something really fast.  I was running around like a blind chicken.  I have to study the plays and I have to read before I react to anything," said linebacker Josh Williams.
