ST. LOUIS, Mo--The St. Louis Rams rookies and free agents reported to camp at the team's facility in Earth City just north of downtown.

Included in the group former Mizzou Tiger, Michael Sam.

The first openly gay player in the NFL has been under the microscope in the last few days following disparing remarks from Tony Dungy.

Yesterday, the former Colts and Bbucs coach clarified his comments.

Michael Sam, for his part, brushed aside the issue, saying he's only concerned about trying to make the Rams.

"I have a great respect for Coach Dungy.  Like everyone in America, everyone's entitled to their own opinions," said Michael Sam.  "I'm so excited to be back with the guys.  Football is fun.  Right now it still feels like OTA's but once you get pads on it'll be different."
