KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Numerous reports in Kansas City say that the Chiefs are on the verge of hiring Andy Reid as the team's new football coach.

And if that happens, Scott Pioli will be out as the Chiefs general manager.

The Kansas City Star along with other outlets say that Clark Hunt's interview with Reid Wednesday went so well that he did not go to Arizona to interview for the vacant Cardinals job.

ESPN is reporting that the major issues have been discussed and agreed upon.

One of those issues obviously concerns the Chiefs general manager position.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that Reid would bring former Browns GM Tom Heckert to Kansas City.

The 54-year old Andy Reid is the Eagles all-time winningest coach.

Reid won 130 games, six division championships and took Philly to the Super Bowl in 14 seasons.
