ST. JOSEPH, Mo--The chiefs held the first practice with pads in St. Joseph Saturday. Now here's a look at our KC Blitz report from Chiefs training camp.

There were a record number of fans there to watch the Chiefs training camp in St. Joe Saturday. It was the biggest crowd Missouri Western State has seen in it's five year history of holding the camp.

Certainly practice starts to kick it up a notch with pads on. Coach Andy Reid was pleased with the secondary and linebackers, including Nico Johnson who had some first team reps in practice.

"I thought that execution went back and fourth, offense and defense. There were some good snaps both ways and that is what you are looking for. You are looking for competition we had the ones going against the ones today and I just though it was a good tempo," said Andy Reid.
