SPRINGFIELD, Mo--Springfield police are still waiting for lab results to come back from the traffic stop where Dorial Green-Beckham was arrested January 10th.

Police found a pound of marijuana in the back of a car that the Mizzou wide receiver was riding in.

The Springfield News-Leader requested the arrest report.

And that revealed that another passenger in the car, Patrick Prouty admitted that the marijuana was his.

Green-Beckham told the arresting officer that he never saw any marijuana when he got into the car, didn't smoke it and didn't know who it belonged to.

The case will be handed over to the Greene County prosecutor's office when the investigation is complete.

At that time, a decision will be made on whether or not charges will be filed.


SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Evangel Crusaders went into Thursday night's game with Avila a little short handed.

Junior forward Korry Tillery was suspended from the game because he picked up two technicals in the Crusaders loss to Benedictine last Saturday.

Evangel appealed twice for the suspension to be lifted, but no luck.

And J.J. Williams looking to pick up the slack, he slashes to the hole and gets the hoop and the harm, 11-10 Crusaders.

Avila playing tough defense, Tyler Smith forces the turnover, down the floor to Joseph Johnson for the layup and the Eagles led 18-16.

Remember Avila coached by former Missouri State Bear Rodney Perry.

Evangel heating up later, Zack Kleine with the pull up three pointer, the Crusaders were up 21-18.

Evangel's Caleb McGee beats the double team, and gets the ball to Kleine and he splashes another three pointer, 24-18.

And Evangel holds on and wins 83-81.  

On the womens side, Evangel gets 26 from Allison Swanson and the Lady Crusaders win 64-51.


The Drury Panthers were at Quincy, and this was a battle all night, but Drury wins 92-87 in overtime.

On the womens side, the Lady Panthers lose to Quincy 82-79.


Southwest Baptist hosted Missouri Southern and the Lions win by two 96-94.

The Lady Bearcats win 83-78.


NIXA, Mo--The 87th Nixa Invitational tipped off Thursday night in Nixa.

The host Eagles taking on Hogan Prep out of the K.C. area.

And this was all Nixa in the first quarter, the Eagles sharing the ball nicely, one touch passing to Jacob Ruder for the jumper, it's 4-nothing Nixa.

The Eagles attacking the heart of the Hogan Prep defense all night, nice bounce pass to Chris Bettis for the hoop, 6-one Nixa.

Later Bettis feeds Ruder, Jacob misses the jumper, but Bettis follows the shot and gets the board and basket, 10-one.

Then the inbounds pass to Ruder for the lay-in, and it's 12-one.

And Nixa wins 84-58.
