NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--The best players in the Texas League gathered at Dickey Stephens Park in North Little Rock Tuesday night for the 78th annual Texas League All-Star game.

The South has won six of the last eight All-Star games.

Just like the big league All-Star game there's a home run derby and Frisco's Ryan Rua beat Midland's Max Muncy for the slugger's belt.

In the game, a pitchers duel early, the Travs Michael Roth strikes out Jake Smolinski swinging.

In the bottom of the first, Frisco's Luke Jackson gets Tulsa's Alex Yarbrough swinging.

Springfield's Cody Stanley gets the first hit of the game in the second, he would hit a two run homer in the fourth.

And the North wins 3-1, Stanley wins the Most Valuable Player award for the All-Star game.    


SPRINGFIELD, Mo--Major League Baseball named the rosters for the Futures game that will take place the Sunday before the All-Star game in Minneapolis.

The St. Louis Cardinals will be represented by Marco Gonzales and Springfield outfielder James Ramsey.

Of course Gonzales is now on the St. Louis roster.

Ramsey is currently on the seven day disabled list with an oblique strain.

The Florida State native is hitting .307 with 12 homers and 31 runs batted in at AA Springfield.

Ramsey was suppose to play for the North in Tuesday night's Texas League All-Star game but had to drop out because of the injury.      


And in the Major Leagues, Both Cardinals and Royals fall.

Colorado is one better, besting St. Louis, 6-5.
And the Kansas City Royals are shut out by LA, 2-0.
