ST. LOUIS, Mo--For more than 20 years the Missouri Valley basketball season has culminated in a four day tournament in St. Louis called Arch Madness.
For the past few months, the conference had been looking at different options to move the post season event away from the Gateway City.
Three cities send bids to the Valley office, St. Louis, Kansas City and the Chicago suburbs.
And after weighing all the options, the Valley decided to keep the arch in Arch Madness.
St. Louis will continue to host for at least the next four years.
"We absolutely viewed the process as open and I can tell you that we played no favorites. And we really did have three good choices. And I can honestly say this, there aren't a lot of conferences that have the kind of choices, the good options that were available to us," said Valley commissioner Doug Elgin. "So now it's my privilege to announce that the MVC is awarding the Missouri Valley mens conference tournaments in 2016, 2017 and 2018 to the Scottrade Center here in St. Louis."
