SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The 68th annual Blue & Gold boys high school basketball tournament is well into its second day of action over at Missouri State University.

Friday night it's quarterfinal play in the gold division.

The Strafford Indians are the fifth seed and faced the fourth seed Bolivar.

Both the Liberators and Indians won their opening games convincingly Thursday.

But Bolivar struggled early in this one, Bryce Krueger spins to the block and hits the jumper Liberators down by one.

Strafford would go on a run, Kyle Foley slashes into the lane, finishes with the scoop shot it's 10-4 Indians.

Then Strafford with the defense, Kyle Tate steals the ball, out to Dallas Hester, he misses the layup, but Tate was following the play and gets the garbage it's 14-4 Strafford.

Bolivar would challenge late, Johnny Scott to Coday Garrison for the basket.

But Strafford holds on and wins 59-55.
