Glendale Celebrates Swimming Title

SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Glendale high school girls swim
team successfully defending its Missouri State championship over the weekend.

And Monday afternoon the girls showed off their first place trophy.

The Falcon wrestlers who competed at state were also saluted in a pep rally.  

Nikki Sisson won the 100 yard free style, and Glendale's 400 yard free style team won first place in that event.

Together the team edged out Marquette by eight points to take home the state championship.

"Happiness, there's no better feeling than being a state champion," said Nikki Sisson.  "It's so indescribable.  And it's very prideful because you just brought home a state championship to your school.  We are obnoxious on the deck, we do Glendale cheers, we're so Glendale pride, die hard fans we love our school.."
