Flood Gets 300th Win At P&W

SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The high school girls joined the boys in 1973 when it comes to holiday basketball touranment play.

The Pink & White combined with the Lady Classic last year and that 32 team event started Friday.

The Republic girls are the fourth seed in the white divison and faced Strafford.

Lady Tiger coach Kris Flood came into the action with 299 wins.

And both teams off to a slow start, Republic running the floor, Jade Sawyer to Brooke Stanfield for the layup and it's a 2-1 Tiger lead.

Strafford answers with Hannah Collins, nice pass to Alissa Rowden for the layup, it's 3-2 Indians.

Then Strafford's Jena Clements with the pick and roll, and the basket, Indians up by three.

Republic moving the ball to the corner, then inside to Tori Taylor for the basket, and the Lady Tigers hang on and win 54-47, that's Kris Flood's 300th career win.
