COLUMBIA, Mo--The Tigers tantalizing star Michael Porter Jr. said he's optimistic that doctors will clear him for practice in the near future.
MPJ still giving hope of a possible return. Porter came to Mizzou as the top recruit out of high school. But he's been sitting out after playing just two minutes in the season opener where a back surgery followed on November 21st.
Friday Porter said he has been working out and is feeling great.
"If it were up to me, I would love to get a couple of games under my belt before hopping into tournament play, that's how I would love to do it. I am doing everything I can. I'm going hard every day, I'm feeling better every day and I am just hoping that the doctor feels the same way," said Michael Porter Jr.
