SPRINGFIELD, Mo--Tyler Lyons continued rehabbing a strained shoulder Monday with a start on the mound in Springfield.

The start to this one would be delayed about an hour. However, Tyler Lyons would get his start.

In the first, Harold Riggins knocks one that goes off the glove Greg Miclat. Christian Adames scores. 1-0 Drillers.

But Lyons comes right back with a big strike out on Jayson Langfels.

Lyons went two innings with 3 strike outs.

But in the bottom of the first, Jacob Wilson hits the long ball to make it 2-1 Cards.

Springfield would lead 5-3 with one out in the top of the 9th, when there was another rain delay.

"Well obviously the second inning went a little cleaner than the first. I felt fine in the first inning too. Not really any difference in the innings just a little better luck. Even in spring training you got to start somewhere, you got to build up. For me the next time out I got to being a little bit better, a little bit stronger and the ability to go a little bit longer," said Tyler Lyons.
