Lasers Win in Super Tie Break

SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Springfield Lasers were also in town Thursday night.

The World TeamTennis squad trying to snap a two match losing streak against the San Diego Aviators. 

And this is the first of a two game homestand for the Lasers.

Men's doubles is the first event, San Diego's Somdev Devvarman with the ace on the serve here to tie the event at two games apiece.

But the Lasers would rally, Michael Russell teaming up with Ross Hutchins, Russell puts the backhand away at the net, Springfield wins the first event 5-2.

But in the second, women's doubles, the Aviators Daniela Hantuchova and Kveta Peschke shut out Springfield 5-0.

San Diego won mixed doubles and Russell won men's singles at the end and the super tie break for a 19-18 Lasers win.
