SAN DIEGO, Ca--The Springfield Lasers will be hoping that the fifth time's a charm. For the fifth time in the franchise's 19 year history, the Lasers will be playing for the World TeamTennis championship.
Springfield beat San Diego last night 22-17 to win the west.

It was a tight match until the fourth event, women's singles, and Olga Govortsova beat Daniela Hantuchova 5-love to build the lead.
Then, it was men's doubles, and Michael Russell and Ross Hutchins beat the Bryant brothers 5-3 to win the match and the west.
Springfield will host the Washington Kastles for the championship.

It's a rematch of last year's championship that the Kastles won. The two teams split the regular season series with the Lasers winning here.
Game time four o'clock Sunday at the Cooper Tennis Complex.
