SPRINGFIELD, Mo--We're going to start a weekly lake report as we get you ready for the weekends here in the Ozarks.

And we're going to kick things off with a look at Table Rock Lake south of Springfield in the Branson, Kimberling City area.

In the Kimberling and James River areas the Department of Conservation say the fishing is fair.

The black bass are biting on swim baits and lures.

White bass on white sliders and minnows.

Crappie biting on jigs between 10-20 feet.

And walleye and hitting spinnerbaits.

We're going to want your help as well.

I want to see some fishing pictures that you  guys get this summer from area lakes.

Send me your name, what kind of fish you caught and which lake and we'll show some on Fridays, e-mail them to

Next week we'll check out Stockton Lake.
