SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Lady Panthers learned of their post season fate late Sunday night and it sounded a lot like the men's team.

The women's team will host and are also the one seed in the Midwest Region.

24-3 Drury will take on eighth seed Truman State at 6 PM on Friday.

These teams only met once this year, and it came in the form of a 93-86 win in favor of Drury on February 1st. Amber Dvoark scored 27 points while Bethanie Funderburk added 22 points in thier road victory.

"It's a ton of excitement. I mean going to the boys tournament last year and seeing them host regionals and seeing every seat absolutely filled, it was an incredible environment and I think all of us girls were really hoping for the first seed. Conference didn't go the way we wanted to but this is our ultimate last chance this year and for us seniors our last chance ever. I think it kind of woke us up in a sense, not that we weren't ready for conference. It didn't go our way, now more than ever we know what we have to do now," said Lady Panthers guard Bethanie Funderburk.
