KC Chiefs Introduce Fisher

KANSAS CITY, Mo--The Kansas City Chiefs introduced the NFL's number one draft pick to the media Friday at their Arrowhead Stadium complex.

Chiefs General Manager John Dorsey drafted Eric Fisher with the top pick Thursday night.

Eric Fisher is an offensive tackle out of Central Michigan.

The Chiefs grabbed Fisher ahead of Texas A&M's Luke Joeckel.

The concensus is that Fisher would be more effective in new coach Andy Reid's offensive scheme.

Fisher stands 6-foot-7 and weighs 306 pounds and will protect new quarterback Alex Smith's blind side.

Fisher grew up in West Virginia the son of a single mother, and is thrilled to be the 2013 number one draft pick and a Chief.

Eric Fisher/Chiefs Top Draft Pick:"I think this is a great fit for me. I'm looking forward to helping a team out. I love the game and everything that comes along with it. Just trying to win games. I love playing. I'm a winner and have a winner attitude. Until I'm winning, I'm going to bust my butt to get the job done and help out anyway I can.."
