ST. LOUIS, Mo--More bad news coming from the Cardinals 6-5 loss to the Marlins on Saturday. Left fielder Matt Holliday did not finish the game and was taken out when the Cardinals were up by one run.

Holliday went 1-2 in the game with an RBI single in the 4th that scored Mark Ellis. He has the second most RBI's on the team with 41.

Holliday was hit by a pitch in the 1st inning and his last at bat was a strike out in the 6th.

In the last few weeks the Cardinals already losing plenty of players to injuries.

However, Mike Matheny says he doesn't think its a long term thing.

"I guess there's some bruising on his knee," said Mike Matheny.

"From today's action?" asked a reporter.

"Not exactly sure how it happened. Something came up and we had to get him in. I don't think it's going to be awhile but still waiting to here the details. It's a pain thing so it's affects everything I imagine, or he wouldn't have came out of the game," replied Matheny.
