SPRINGFIELD, Mo--The Springfield Public Schools continue to work their way through Thursday night football because of homecoming activities.
Thursday night the tenth ranked 4-2 Hillcrest Hornets were looking to bounce back from last week's loss to Kickapoo.
The 3-3 Vikings have won three of their last four.
But Hillcrest would open the scoring when Juwan Johnson takes the handoff up the middle, seven yards for a touchdown, it's 7-nothing Hornets.
Parkview ties it up, Anthony Riley gets the ball, heads to the right side, then bounces off a tackler to the left side, and goes with the flow, finds the far sideline and takes it to the house, 69 yards for a touchdown, 7-7.
It was 14-7 Hillcrest when the Vikings tie it up again, Anthony Gilliland airs it out to Connor Ratcliff, a 23 yard touchdown it's 14-14.
But right before the half, Hillcrest moves back in front, the two yard quarterback keep from Matt Rush, it's 21-14.
And Hillcrest wins 55-24.
