High School District Championship Games Set

SPRINGFIELD, Mo--A handful of Ozark area high school football teams have advanced on the road to state championship.

The next round, the district championship games, will be Monday night.

And there will be a big game in Springfield. 

The Kickapoo Chiefs will host Nixa in a Class 5 District 5 championship game.

That will kick off at 7:00 p.m. at Pottenger Stadium at Kickapoo.

The Chiefs are 10-0 and will battle a 9-1 Nixa team.

The Eagles only loss on the season was to Class 4 powerhouse Webb City.

Nixa beat Branson 49-13.

Kickapoo ended Ozark's season 45-16.

There will be three big district championship games Monday night in the Ozarks.

There's the Kickapoo-Nixa game.

In Mountain View the 11-0 Liberty Eagles will take on arch rival Mountain Grove.

And in Bolivar, the undefeated Liberators will host unbeaten Pleasant Hill.
